Getting to Ngorongoro Lodge

Location - In the Ngorongoro Conservation area:

Consistently recognised as one of the world’s most luxurious and elegant places to stay, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is situated right on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering unbeatable views of one of the natural wonders of the world.

Getting to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge:

A number of airlines operate twice daily scheduled flights from Arusha to Lake Manyara Airstrip.

The lodge collects guests from the airstrip in closed game viewing vehicles, with the drive to the lodge taking approximately 1½ hours.

Getting to Serengeti Under Canvas

Location - In the Serengeti National Park:

The luxurious tented camps of &BEYOND Serengeti Under Canvas move around the park year-round, attempting to anticipate the movements of the Great Migration and exploring the remote and beautiful corners of the Serengeti with excellent resident game.

Getting to Serengeti Under Canvas

There are scheduled flights into the Serengeti airstrip nearest to the current position of the camps (Seronera, Ndutu, Grumeti or Kogatende).
This is followed by a short drive to camp.

Getting to Klein's Camp

Location:

Deep in a remote corner of the game-rich Serengeti National Park, a 10,000 hectare (24,700 acre) wildlife concession leased from Maasai landlords offers guests the ultimate, exclusive, Tanzanian safari at &BEYOND Klein’s Camp.

Getting to Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge

Tucked into a strip of riverine forest, guests thrill to the antics of resident hippo and spectacular black-and-white colobus monkeys (found nowhere else in the Serengeti). Every year in June and July, Africa’s annual Great Migration passes through Grumeti, and hundreds upon thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores cross the Grumeti River, risking the jaws of some of Africa’s largest crocodiles.

Getting to Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge:

A number of airlines offer daily scheduled flights from Arusha to Grumeti Airstrip, followed by a five to ten-minute drive to the lodge.

Getting to Mnemba Island

Location - In Zanzibar:

Off the north-eastern tip of Zanzibar lies the private &BEYOND Mnemba Island, inhabited only by guests and the staff taking care of them. Just 1.5 km (less than a mile) in circumference, Mnemba is surrounded by an atoll of breath-taking coral reefs and boasts some of Africa’s most magnificent dive sites.

Getting to Mnemba Island:

The lodge collects guests at Zanzibar International Airport or Stone Town.

  • 1½-hour road trip (the last 20 minutes are on an unpaved, bumpy road)
  • 10 – 15 minutes boat ride in an open ski boat

As there are no jetties, departures and landings are directly to and from the beach and involve a little wading. Please note that boat transfers are weather dependent.
